Homemade Playdough

Because it’s cheaper & smells better than store-bought. And you can get your kids involved in the process because it’s pretty simple!

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1/2 cup salt

• 1/4 cup cream of tartar

• 2 cups water

• 2 tbsp canola oil

• food coloring

• optional: essential oil and/or glitter

Instructions

• In a large pan, mix flour, salt, cream of tartar, water, and oil

• Heat over medium heat until the mixture is very thick (stir constantly with a rubber spatula)

• Remove mixture and knead until soft and pliable

• Divide it up into as many colors as you want and add food coloring (+ glitter or essential oils, if that’s your thing)

• For storage: keep it in a ziplock bag
